Mirror

I was bored so I thought I'd make a ground shot. 8 out of 9 had my cat in front of me, trying to figure out what that black camera thing on the floor was and seeing if he could possible eat it. He tried and found out he couldn't.

That's when I could get these shots in.

The dress is a black vintage of my mom and it's short on the front and back and long at the sides.

The liquid leggings are by Helena Hart and are bought in an awesome shop called Charlie in Amsterdam, I highly recommend it. It's located in the Cornelis Schuytstraat and it's tiny but very trendy. I saw the most amazing destroyed jeans but didn't buy them, had reached my spending money limit.

The shoes are by Invito and were bought with 20%discount because of Elle's birthday. Originally I was going for wellies by Diesel which were a white to black degradé but they were too big and not available in smaller sizes.

Then I saw these cute booties and couldn't resist. Somehow my thigh looks huge in the first picture. In reality it is not. my legs have gotten more muscle lately so when I stretch my leg the muscle comes out. It because I've taken up kickboxing.

Happy and sad

I just got these awesome kickass shoes in the mail and they fit and are so amazing :) Yes I'm very happy with them and they aren't even expensive, while they're very good quality.
On a sadder note, I phoned for the black dress I put on hold and they told me this morning I could come and collect it. Then when I arrived at the store the lady told me they had called me on Monday (which they didn't, I'm 100% sure) that if I didn't collect it by Wednesday they'd hang it back in the store and so they did and it was now sold. So I explained they didn't call me or they must've switched two numbers and got the wrong person or something otherwise I wouldn't have called them this morning whether it was out of the window yet and she started fucking yelling at me that it was my fault and I should have picked it up and now we had caused THEM trouble because they had to look for the dress when it wasn't even there anymore blah blah blah....
I mean what?
Ehm why not I'm sorry for the misunderstanding?
I asked are they in any other stores, she didn't call or anything she just said (in a very insulted tone) no they're sold out everywhere.
Come on lady, you don't know that! What if someone brought one back?
So yeah no more physical H&M store for me. The webstore is ace though and very well run.
But yeah in the shoes I'm like 1.75m :D

Argh no!

Ok so I got the casting call for the hair modeling for Schwarzkopf and it's ... on the same day I have to be in the hospital for a CEEG.
Great.
I soooooo would have loved to go. It was an amazing experience, free hair products and cut/coloring. ( and there was even a paycheck involved!).
Why would fate be so cruel?
I so hope there will be another casting to go to...
As if the hospital appointment itself wasn't ghastly enough.

Random pics

Because I'm sure everybody wants to have a laugh today I'm posting my "couture" riding gear pic.

Also included is my profile pic which I thought I'd share so you can see that the thing on my head is actually a bow-like thing and that what is above that are towels. And that my earbud is blue.

Oh yeah, my shirt is from the movie Corpse Bride which I'm sure is common knowledge that it is awesome and that Tim Burton is the shit.

I actually have a Tim Burton poem book which is soooooo cute and adorable, it's called, the melancholy death of Oyster boy.

I just found some pics:

It's just so sad and funny combined and well illustrated. Definitely worth a read if you like morbid humor.

London

So I booked my weekend to London yesterday aaaaaaaand I got tickets to see Breakfast at Tiffany's! Starring Anna Friel as Holly Golightly!

I've never been to theatre in London except for some stand-up comedy but I heard the acting is very good, much better than dutch standards.

Also I found a very rad site where you can upload your wardrobe and mix and match online, ask outfit advice or plan outfits into your calender. http://myfashionplate.com/

I'm of course super excited for Halloween, even if I am one of the only dutch people who celebrates it every year (blame all my american overseas trips when I was younger) so my decorations are coming along nicely but...

The never-ending costume question. What will I be for Halloween?

So far I've got these options:

Wednesday adams
Amelia earhart
Mad scientist (a la Dr. Horrible)
Vampire (think Underworld)
Rorschach
Indiana jones
Chuck Charles
Rogue (X-men)
Susan sto-helit

I think Rorschach's costume will be too annoying with the whole mask thing going on so that'll be scrapped.

So, that only leaves me with.... 8 left. Help?

I'm going to try this lovely dress on next week at the H&M to see how it looks on me.

Also I'm debating whether I like this dress enough (and if it's wearable enough) to consider buying it.
